The rumors are true. This bay area boy will be going to sunny So-Cal in September to attend Art Center. Sadly, I’ll have to soon retire from writing the weekly Lumps news, but on the bright side...we can finally start Lumps LA! I’ll be pretty busy with school, but we can hopefully at least have a monthly Lumps lunch for LA peeps and friends.
Before that fellowship extension can happen (and before I start school), I need your help to find a place to live! I don’t know LA very well and only know a scant-handful of people down there. (I’ve lived in the bay area all of my life) I’m hoping for each and every one of you for your possible help to find the right place...
* In the Pasadena area (< 20 minutes away from Art Center, located near the Rose Bowl) * 2 bedroom set-up. (I have a potential nice guy roommate, if he gets into the school! Will know in 2 weeks.) * Very affordable (b/c a private design school racks up a lot of personal debt quickly) * Spacious with living room (so that we can be hospitable for fellowship and all of you visiting Lumps)

If you have any friends for me to meet, particularly if they’ attend (or went to) Art Center, definitely help me get in contact with them. I hear that there are very few Christians there. (But even more reason for me to be a light and a connection to a 20-somethings fellowship community, right?) Please let me know ASAP. I’m going to go down the first seven days in August to look for housing. I hear it gets really busy at the end of summer and hope to find a good place. Hook me up and pray!
I thank God for my community here and know that He’ll faithfully provide for me in LA. I remember what a faith-stretching experience my housing search in college was and how He delivered. He definitely will again.
